North Dakota Residency Rules
Difficulty
I wouldn’t say that Universities in North Dakota are just giving away in-state tuition to anyone who wants it…but kinda; it’s there for the taking. In-State Angels considers it the easiest state in America in which to earn in-state tuition. That definitely does not mean that you just all of the sudden automatically get it without doing anything. You definitely must do things! The things are pretty straightforward though, the paperwork is pretty minimal, and people aren’t really required to sacrifice much or even make lofty commitments to North Dakota. The process does definitely still require forethought, execution of a plan, and follow-through. This is evinced by the fact that there are lots of people paying out-of-state tuition in North Dakota.
Why is it so easy here? We think it’s because people don’t flock from all over the country to live in North Dakota as they do to live in trendier states like California, Florida, Arizona. Well maybe they should, it’s like the Scandinavia of America and if you want to move to North Dakota, live a simpler life, watch some NDSU football, and get a great and fantastically affordable education…maybe you should. The low living expenses will blow your mind.
