Yellow Square Means In-State Tuition is Medium Difficult Difficulty

How to get in-state at Universities in Ohio:

Although the difficulty of earning in-state in Ohio significantly varies by university, overall Ohio can be generalized as in the most-difficulty category but several universities in Ohio have quirky unique stipulations that could make earning in-state status much less difficult for certain qualified people.

One such quirk for example is Ohio University’s “E-1 Conditional Residency” stipulation whereby you can get instant in-state tuition for up to 11 credit hours/term if you can prove that you make enough money to pay all your expenses for your one year domicile period through full-time or part-time (unlikely) employment in Ohio.  You can’t count things like financial aid, grants, scholarships, or other sources of money though except your can use such sources if they are over and above what you need to meet your expenses.  E.g. if you made $40,000 with Ohio employment, needed $40,000 for all your expenses including school, then you could also use.

Also, at some universities in Ohio, seasoned money in certain kinds of accounts is treated favorably.

Ohio Reciprocity Agreements:
